Over 100 HR directors and related executives gathered at Meguro Gajoen to attend C.C. Consulting’s conference titled Strategic HR Management 2008.
The conference’s keynote speaker, Mr. Isao Sakurai (CEO of HSBC Services and Head of Human Resources at HSBC Japan) started the lectures with his presentation on “Transforming Organizations to have a ‘stretch and performance’ culture” which touched on key areas such as implementing unified cultural change that values achievement sustaining the core values of the enterprise and HR’s role in this change. The conference’s second Keynote speaker, Mr. Tom Pedersen (Statutory Executive Officer, Head of People and Communications Group, and Chief Learning Officer at Shinsei Bank) spoke on “Trends in Talent Management: Keeping Your Workforce Aligned and Engaged” which gave valuable information on how to ensure that your short-term tactical priorities don’t overshadow your need to have engaged employees and a sustainable business.
