Richard Bysouth
Mr. Bysouth, a British national, first came to Japan in 1990 with a one-way ticket and just a few hundred dollars. It wasn’t long before he had opened his own English-language school. He moved back to London briefly, where he took a job with Highest International Standards (H.I.S.), Japan’s famed discount travel agency. In 1996, Mr Bysouth returned to Japan to work at one of the company’s local offices. He landed his first job as a recruiter in 1998. A year later, he became CEO for the Japanese operations of the British headhunting firm Robert Walters. In September 2000, he launched CareerCross (www.careercross.com), an online recruitment service that targets bilingual job seekers.

Since founding C.C.Consulting in 2000, we have grown rapidly through the operation of CareerCross, our flagship product focusing on bilingual professionals in Japan. We have continued to generate growth by addressing the existing needs of the market.
Japan's economic recovery saw a sharp growth in human resource demands. We have grown with this to become a leader in the bilingual recruitment resource market. We contine to focus on the needs of jobseekers wanting to improve their careers as well as utilize their language skills at work.
Our strength lies in our challenging environment where excellent knowledge of our multi-national staff is combined with their proactive, high performance and thorough comprehension of the market. Our objective is “to enrich Japanese life by supporting the globalization of Japan.” Towards this consistent objective, all staff aim to provide the best service in order to meet the needs of the market.
In addition to the existing services of “CareerCross” and “eBenkyo”, C.C.Consulting is striving to aid Japanese globalization by providing new services. These include “CareerCross Haken”, a bilingual temp job website, and “International CareerCross Forum” an on-going series of career events for mid-career bilingual professionals.
